Karim Broodhagen

Articling Student

Karim began as an Articling Student with Tinarwo Law in June 2020. Karim graduated from the University of Southampton Faculty of Law in Southampton, United Kingdom. Prior to attending Law School, Karim studied Political Science at the University of Alberta.

Upon graduating from Law School, Karim began working at the Alberta Legislature where he gained a strong familiarity delivering the highest standard of public service within the rich parliamentary tradition that underpins the constitutional rights of elected Members and supporting their unique role in Alberta’s parliamentary democracy. Karim had a unique role delivering dynamic solutions to criminal threats directed towards elected Members and constituency offices throughout Alberta.

Currently as an Articling Student, Karim focuses on Criminal, Family, and Real Estate Law. Karim is passionate about providing personalized high-quality legal services to client's, advising on legal options, and guiding them through the process, whether an out-of-Court approach (negotiation, mediation, arbitration, judicial dispute resolution), or in-Court (claims, applications, hearings, trials).

Outside of work, Karim is passionate about volunteering with agencies such as the Edmonton Community Legal Center (ECLC) to provide access to the legal system for vulnerable individuals and minorities. When not working or volunteering, Karim stays very active playing all types of sports, traveling, watching movies, and supporting local restaurants.
